On Wednesday, the 27th of February 2012,
PrestigeAcademy’s SRC hosted their annual
Potjiekos Competition on
campus.
This year out-shone previous occasions, as we had the most
entrees ever this year! Teams showed up, sporting their themes and outstanding spirit.
With decor that would impress any events company, and a not-so-naked chef
present, this year was bound to be nothing short of spectacular!
Danielle Neveling, our SRC 2013 Chairperson, said that at
this year’s Potjiekos Competition, there was a lot more interaction among the
students, and it was evident that new friendships were made. She went on
further to say that groups, as opposed to last year, mingled with each other a
lot more and everyone had a good time together.
Potjies were made, tasted and winners were announced.
Congrats to Ubuntu, The Prestige staff's team, The Super Heroes and That 70s Show for winning in the
respective categories. History was also made this year at our Potjiekos
competition, when we all witnessed Mr Nel giving Psy a run for his money, by
showing us how Gangnam should be done! Don’t believe me? We have pictures to
prove it!
All-in-all it was a night to remember, and for some, one
which they’ll never forget…to remember.
We look forward to seeing what our SRC social portfolio has
in store for us next!
