On the 2nd of November 2012, we held our first
ever October Fest at Prestige Academy. Now, I know November isn't exactly
October, but we were determined to turn back the clock, to bring a little
German tradition to our Academy.
Even though this event was in the midst of final exam prep,
our students had no trouble time-managing this fest into their study-schedule.
With a 50 litre keg of beer, trestle tables, plastic cups, Ping-Pong paddles
and balls, an apt DJ and delightful German cuisine, a great time was surely
inevitable.
Beer pong was played by some and tried by others, food was
tasted by some and devoured by most, and well, dancing after that amount of
beer pong, was something everyone ended up doing.
Just as tradition would have it, we struggled, once again,
to get some of the students to leave, so we could clean up, but after much
convincing, we finally got the faithful few to shape up and ship out.
This event was a ‘rad joll’, and one which we will
definitely make an annual occurrence.
