Christian Tiger Schooled

Sebastian Zenasi and Luc Vermeer.

Christian Tiger School, a name which sounds more like a youth group, rather than an up-coming, local electro duo, is comprised of two, fresh-out-of-high-school, mother-city kids, Sebastian Zenasi and Luc Vermeer, who have been causing quite a stir in the local music scene, since their introduction to it, late last year.

Their sounds consist of psychedelic/dream hip-hop, a soothing genre of music which gets your tail wagging, yet still allowing you to take a sip of your drink without spilling it. Their influences vary from Flying Lotus, to that of Cafe Del Mar. The duo produces and performs all their own sounds, which include finger banging synths to dreamy well composed melodies.

As difficult as many find it to break into the local music scene, Christian Tiger School had no problem in this regard, due to their music gaining a major cred around town. They have played at many local clubs such as The Assembly, Mercury Live, The Waiting Room, Fiction, as well as Kitcheners in Johannesburg. Their sounds represent an element of soothing and harmonious melodies which is proven to be perfect music to listen to, during a sweet skate, or while grafting down on a solid study session.

What better time to check out their music, than the current exam term, right?
