What Happens in Vegas, Stays... On the Blog

On Friday, the 3^rd of August 2012, PrestigeAcademy hosted their “Waking Up In Vegas” social at Cantina Tequila.

The evening got off to a slow start, as the SRC waited in anticipation for our guests to arrive. Dani (the head of the social portfolio) was in slight distress as she paced the entire length of Cantina, from the entrance way to the bar, and back again, wondering where all the Vegas hopefuls were hiding.

It wasn’t much longer when people started streaming in through the doors, dressed up in outfits portraying their wild, Vegas post-party fantasies. We had married couples, a Scot, females wearing moustaches, males wearing dresses, a sergeant, Elvis, some inmates and a very accurate rendition of Steve Urkel (although this one, had one mighty fro).

Joining us that evening was Joey from the front desk, and Mia from our marketing department, as well as Mark Raa- Founder of Trustgate, who tweeted about the event like a true pro. The Russian Bear promo team also pitched up with some cool prizes (I’m sure I’ll see some of you wearing those stylish watches and hats around the Academy), and the drink specials Cantina Tequila had running, definitely ran…out fast.

As the night progressed people, filled with liquid confidence, made their way onto dance floor, just met some people, it was crazy, and exchanged some numbers and outfits… maybe?  

The event finally came to an end and we found ourselves having to convince the odd few to untie themselves from the Cantina building and go home, which after “finishing their last (five) drink”, they did.  

A big kudos to those who joined the party, it was a rad jam!
