Charity Fun Day

On Saturday, the 28th of July 2012, Prestige Academy hosted their first ever Fun Day for charity.

The SRC, with the guidance of the fabulous Liezl Meyer, joined forces to ensure that our young guests had enough sugar and fun to last them at least a solid 24 hours.

The day started off pretty edgy, as the kids weren't sure where to go, or how to behave, but when they saw the jumping castle with a ball-pit inside they turned from extremely shy cutie-pies into confident kids! Needless to say, the SRC liked this very much!

From the jumping castle, to the biscuit art station, and back to the jumping castle, we were stoked that everyone had a fun time! The kids enjoyed child past-times we thought we'd forgotten about, like playing with play-dough (some ate it- either it was really tasty, or they hadn't noticed the biscuit art station right next to them), colouring in, face-painting, and dancing to the sweet jams the DJ supplied the event with throughout the day.

To end the day off, everyone received food with actual nutritional value, and watched the magical magician do some fun tricks.

Soon the party was over and we sadly said goodbye to the new friends we had made. They each received a goodie-bag containing more sugary goodness, were herded into their respective vehicles and were driven home.

A big thank you to Kaiticqua Developments, Shoprite, Uit Ons Kombuis, Eatwell Meat and Friendly 711 Store-Blomtuin for sponsoring cash and food for this event. Without your help, it wouldn't have been possible.
