On the 24th of May 2012 Prestige Academy hosted the annual ever-so-popular Mr & Miss Prestige Academy Pageant Event. Our in-house beauties and hunks competed against each other for the ultimate “mister” and “miss” Prestige Academy title. The theme, Futuristic Rock, was neatly in sync with our contestant’s wardrobe, stage, the performers and the atmosphere.
Our contestants
looked ravishing in all their scenes, starting with the ‘dancing’ Robocop opening scene, striking casual scene, super sexy swimwear scene and closing
with the elegant formal scene.
Each one of the contestants looked absolutely amazing. One
can only think how difficult the task was for our four judges, namely
Sheree-Lee Gildenhuys, Michelle Gildenhuys, Lianne Smuts and Sunil Osman to
choose the best.
Complementary to
the competition, the audience was entertained by Bruce T from FusionEntertainment and the Ubuntu Boys, a local dancing and rapping group with
international accolades.
For the
last 12 years, Prestige Academy has hosted this glamorous pageant, enabling us
to raise bursary funds to support disadvantaged students who qualify with
excellent grade 12 results, but do not have the financial support to study at a
tertiary institution. With these funds raised we were able to partially sponsor
the tuition fees of certain selected students, opening doors to a better
future.
Congratulations to the second runner-up winners, Dominic Spangenberg and
Soritha van Dyk, the first runner-up winners, Jarno Vorster and Lauren Vraagom, as
well as Megan Pritchard and Simon Doveton taking the titles of Mr and Miss
Prestige Academy respectively.
The winners walked away with many astonishing
prizes. The main sponsors were ABSA, Konica Minolta, Platinum Hair and Beauty
and Futura.
Here's a short clip of the Ubuntu Boys in action for those who missed them live at Mr and Miss Prestige Academy.
